Environments

Pathfix Automation gives you more control by giving you Live and Development environments. This documentation gives you a breakdown of each of the environments and how you can publish your Automations to Live

Your Pathfix Automation account runs under 2 environments:

  1. Dev (aka development)
  2. Live (your live automations)

You can access either of the environments from the top navigation bar:

Dev

Before you can publish and start using any automation, you will start your build in the Dev environment. In this environment, you will be able to:

  • Create a new automation
  • Edit an existing automation
  • Test your automation run
  • View all logs related to tests done in the Dev space

Live

Once you are satisfied with your build in Dev, you will need to push your automation to Live. The Live environment will show you all your live automations and allow you to enable or disable any of them.

You will NOT be able to make any configuration changes in your Live space.

For any changes, you will need to switch to your Dev environment, make the changes, Test your automation and Push to Live.
